SHORT BIO
Alexandros Tsilifonis is a London and Athens based filmmaker working across feature film and television. His debut feature, CAFÉ 404 (2024), premiered in competition at the 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and starred Dimitri Gripari (Dangerous Liaisons), Maria Nafpliotou (Last Call) and Vasilis Koukalani (Tehran, Kabul). The film screened in Los Angeles, New York and Toronto, won the Jury Prize at the London Independent Film Festival, and was distributed internationally by 7 Palms Entertainment with an Amazon Prime and Apple TV release across 25 countries.

He is developing his second feature, THE PASSED PAWN, a UK, Netherlands and Greek co-production based on his BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying short THE T3ST, which starred Matthew Stagg (Marrowbone) and Killian Coyle (Normal People) and was funded by the Greek Film Centre and ERT with support from the NFTS and Panavision.

For television, he directed the second season of TA FANTASMATA, the Greek adaptation of the BBC series Ghosts for Star Channel, starring Elli Tringou (Suntan), with a third season to follow. He is also developing ANTIPAROS, a whodunit crime comedy produced by Tanweer Productions (So Long, Marianne) in co-production with Ginger Film Flanders (Belgium) and Volteo Media (UK), which was selected for the Series Mania 2025 and Berlinale 2026 Co-Production Forums.

He has been mentored by Fred Fuchs (The Godfather Part III).
